HUMBLE BEGINNINGS
“Bye Boer” was founded as a small-scale family business that wanted to do our part to save the environment, and our planet and contribute to long-term sustainable environmental solutions. What started as a hobby about 4 years ago, has now been structured into a formally registered business. We are registered with SABIO and DAFF. Currently, we have two apiary sites with a total of 50 hives. One site is in Laezonia, just outside Centurion, and the second is in the Lowveld, just outside Nelspruit.
WHO ARE THE FOUNDING MEMBERS ?
The founding members Jannie Jurgens and Johan du Toit are passionate about the outdoors, nature and clean organic farming.
WHAT ARE THE CURRENT NUMBER OF APIARYS ?
Currently, we have two apiary sites with a total of 50 hives. One site is in Laezonia, just outside Centurion, and the second is in the Lowveld, just outside Nelspruit.
WHAT IS THE AIM ?
Our aim is to create long-term permanent habitats, where beehives can thrive without movement or constant relocation.
